The Strangers was my first stab at musical stardom. Myself and Allen Bush put together the band that took us through 9 years, 30 states, and 4 albums. We lived a lifetime together with the other members of the band. Spending 7 years, 300 days a year, on the road, we logged alot of miles and played over 1500 shows together, sharing bills with Big Head Todd, Train, The Samples, Widespread Panic, Jerry Joseph, and of course, our brothers of the road, The Renegade Saints. We created lifelong friendships through music and experience.....what a ride!!

Kerosene Dream was formed following the breakup of the Strangers and The Renegade Saints. Myself and Dave Coey decided to continue the musical journey. We began writing songs, and put the band together in 1996. What a tremendous experience we had, and continue to have. We recorded 3 albums from 1996 through 2000, and we will probably write and record another one in the not too distant future. We had the pleasure of playing with some great bands such as, Blues Traveler, Train, Heart, Little Feat, Merle Saunders, Barenaked Ladies, and String Cheese to name a few. Kerosene Dream will continue as long as we are physically able to play music. There may be breaks and pauses throughout, but we truly enjoy making music with each other. So keep your eyes and ears open.

Bart Ferguson Band is also a endeavor that will continue until I'm physically unable. I've always been a big fan of hearing my songs played and sung in different ways, genres, capacities. With one album ( Salvation Road ) released, the process for the next album has already begun. The next album will be acoustic with the full band, maybe even including a couple of live versions. With this band I have had so much fun listening to how different players interpret the songs. When I put this band together I started with my cousin ( brother ) Ted Ferguson, who is an anchor for the music, and built from there. This is a band that has the ability to bring different players in for different shows. Having the opportunity to play music with many different musicians is a great learning experience for myself and the players.

New to the band is Ben Sturgill ( Nine Days Wonder, Kerosene Dream), who delivers his trademark guitar playing to the music. Ben is well known for his slide playing, and the special ability to take the listener on a journey with his solos. Dan Decker (Mr. Entertainment), and owner of Sound Impressions Studios) on the bass and keys. Dan is a master of many things, bass, songwriting, arraigning, recording. Johnnie Russell on drums. Johnnie is an exciting addition to the band. He has played with the likes of Linda Hornbuckle, The Arnold Brothers, Lloyd Jones, among others. His Gospel, R&B influence is a driving force behind the current sound of the band. ' The Singers'.....ah yes, those who make me sound good. Carla Kendal-Bray (Colorfield), Linda Brown (Julianne Johnson's group), Amber Cobb (Julianne Johnson's group), and Rebecca Kimball. This group of singers adds the frosting on the cake with their gospel influenced vocals. For me, it makes each show a spiritual experience, and the goal is to give the listener the same feeling. See you at the show. Pass it on!
